Miss Valeri Lopez
April 6 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Miss Valeri Lopez is a singer-songwriter, arranger, an avid reader and an enthusiastic beach volleyball
player and rock climber. Miss Lopez grew up in Los Angeles and got her start performing original
tunes in notable Hollywood venues like The Whiskey A Go Go, The Hotel Cafe, and The House of
Blues. She has lived in the beautiful Northwest in Portland and Seattle and across the Atlantic in Italy
and Holland; always performing; always writing; always recording.
The voice of Miss Valeri Lopez is sweet and expressive, bold and delicious with a sincerity that makes
you feel unexpectedly connected to her songs… or intriguingly uncomfortable. Her lyrical style,
refreshing and genuine speaking straight into the heart, fits just right with her memorable pop melodies
accompanied by jazz influenced harmonies. You will likely find yourself humming one of her tunes a
day or two later without even realizing it.
After 12+ years of writing, recording and touring, Miss Lopez went back to school to finish her
Bachelors in Music at University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music. Studying with
some of the world’s most incredible people in the music industry like Patrice Rushen (Grammy Award
Winner/First Woman to MD for the Grammy’s), Kathleen Grace (Modern Influential Jazz & Folk
Vocalist/Songwriter), Sarah Gazarek (Modern Jazz Vocalist), Vince Mendoza (composer/arranger for
Björk and other notable artists) and Jason Goldman (Composer and Arranger for Michael Bublé.)
When she’s not recording and performing, Miss Lopez teaches music to the next generation, plays
beach volleyball and goes rock climbing with her cat Callie.
